Implants Placed When Bone Is Missing
Washington DC & Bethesda – Chevy Chase

This patient presented with the need for an esthetic correction and the need for crowns in her upper left quadrant. However, having a very large sinus, she had no bone support in this quadrant. Therefore, a bone graft was done in the left sinus, which was followed up with the placement of 5 dental implants as tooth root replacements. She has been restored to complete function in her left side and does not have to wear a removable appliance.
X-Ray Before: Low slung sinus with no bone for dental implant placement; X-Ray After: A sinus lift bone graft, followed by 4 dental implants and their crowns.
