“During the course of over 23 years, I have had crowns, bridges and fillings replaced, all of which were the most professional I’ve ever had. In fact, what led me to Dr. Marlin in the early 1990s was the bridge he created for my upper front teeth. A true testament to his work is that, not one person in over 20 years could ever tell that there was a bridge.”
Greater precision and esthetics in less time, with our in-house professional laboratory.
Our in-house laboratory technician is highly trained in tooth morphology and anatomy, framework design, and aesthetics. With his expertise, he will precisely craft your dental restoration. In addition, our Laboratory Technician is on the premises and we can consult with him throughout your therapy to ensure the proper fit, esthetic match, and provide custom fit adjustments. Obtaining a matching “look”, when fabricating anterior crowns, is very challenging, especially when creating the single anterior crown. Sometimes the internal color has to be precisely created prior to adding in the final layers of porcelain. In Fig. 1, our technician is placing the internal stain on the patient’s right central incisor crown to match to the coloration of her left central incisor, prior to adding the overlying porcelain.
Our technician’s ability to troubleshoot and offer innovative solutions to complex case designs is among his many talents. His skill, artistry, and dedication will combine to provide you with the highest level of quality, both in form and function, along with the most pleasing cosmetic result.
“Dave and I have decided that to ensure we continue with the best dental care we’ve ever had, we should spend part of the year in Maryland.
Comparing your care with past experience makes our choice to remain under your care an easy one.”
What are the Benefits of a DC Dental Office Having an In-House Lab?
We have excellent equipment to assure us that we can have the desired precision and esthetics for our single crowns and reconstructions. Our porcelain furnaces are known for being the type of equipment for achieving the best esthetics and strength for all ceramic or porcelain fused to precious metal crowns. in addition, our technician checks the fit of each crown to its die using a microscope and makes sure that each crown is biocompatible with its surrounding gingiva ( gum tissue).
